The family and I came back from a trip we spent at a Hindu temple in New Jersey.It was a wonderful experience.We stayed a hotel in Princeton NJ about 27 mins from the Temple.The following day on returning back to New York,we stopped by Edison Diner.We were greeted by friendly staff.The ambiance was beautiful,the inside looked refreshing and very welcoming.The food was great as well as the service.The portions were big.One thing they had that was unique,under the table was an outlet meant for plugging in and changing your cell phone,while you waited and ate your meal.If your in the neighborhood usually give them a try.

So I’ve heard that Edison dinner was one of the top places to eat as far as dinners are concerned. U’m No! Just had breakfast and No! Home fries were a little rubbery, eggs were fresh and corn beef hash was so, so. One person ordered 3 poached eggs and was served 2 eggs in a bowl. I’ll stop there, let’s talk about the pancakes they should have came with a warning “Rubber Maid”.

Got the chocolate pancakes for dinner (there are 3 in the stack). They were huge! They were pretty good. Funny enough they tasted better than I remember as left overs (which is still a win in my book) Thick bacon. Friendly staff but I think they forgot to add in my chocolate chips. Food came out pretty quick too. My friend got an omelet with home fries and nothing was left when he was done. Open late which was helpful. Kitchen closes at 1030pm though.

This diner is the definition of simple and satisfying. Stopped in during lunch while waiting for service to my car to be done. Ordered the matzah ball and a breakfast dish. The matzah ball soup really stood out to me and was delicious. Breakfast platter was standard across any diner. Beyond that, the menu offers a wide variety of options, so there’s something for everyone. Wasn’t busy but the server never checked in on us.
